The President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, told the correspondent Sky News James Matthews that he does not believe that Israel will return to war with Iran
– I don’t think that will happen. Everything is going very well. Iran is doing what it has to do and I don’t believe it’s going to happen, okay?, Trump replied.
Trump earlier told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu not to retaliate against Iran after Tehran attacked Israel.
Matthews said that he asked Trump an additional question about what he would do if Netanyahu ignored his wishes, but the American president then “ended the call.”
We remind you that the Iranian armed forces previously announced that they are suspending attacks on Israel, with a warning that a devastating response will follow if Israeli attacks on Lebanon continue.
Tensions escalated on Sunday when Israel bombed the Lebanese capital, Beirut, despite a ceasefire in effect, after which Iran fired missiles into northern Israel. Israel then carried out several waves of airstrikes against Iran.
