Kosovo votes today! Voting centers throughout Kosovo were opened today at 07:00 am, marking the start of the process for early parliamentary elections. Over 2 million citizens with the right to vote are expected to turn to the ballot boxes to choose the new composition of the Assembly, in elections that take place after a long period of political stalemate.
These are the third elections held within 18 months, following the failure of political forces to reach consensus on key institutional issues. The election campaign has been dominated by promises for economic development, the fight against corruption and the strengthening of democratic institutions.
In the competition are the main political parties of the country, which aim to secure the necessary majority for the formation of the new government. Analysts estimate that the result of these elections will be decisive for unblocking the political situation and guaranteeing institutional stability in the country.
The voting process will continue until 19:00, when the polling stations are expected to close and the counting of votes will begin. The preliminary results are expected to be published during the evening.
