His Excellency Mr. Abdullah bin Hamad bin Abdullah Al-Attiyah, Minister of Municipality, met with His Excellency Mr. Bukke Arends, Mayor of the Municipality of Westland, on the sidelines of His Excellency the Minister’s current visit to the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
During the meeting, ways to enhance cooperation in the fields of modern agriculture, agricultural innovation and advanced technologies were reviewed.
The two sides also discussed opportunities for partnership and the exchange of experiences and knowledge to support sustainability efforts and enhance food security, in addition to discussing best practices and successful experiences in the agricultural sector and ways to benefit from them to support development and innovation.
The municipality of Westland is one of the most prominent agricultural regions in the Netherlands, and is world-famous for its protected agriculture techniques and modern greenhouses, making it a pioneering model in applying innovative agricultural solutions.
