The attack on RTV starts at the bank
An attack on a public service rarely begins with an open announcement of subjugation. That would be too crude and too obvious. It starts much more conveniently: with a money order.
With an amount that no one is really happy to pay, and with the question of why people would fund something they may not even watch or listen to. Thus, the political attack is disguised as a relief for households. The cancellation of the RTV contribution therefore sounds kind. One less monthly commitment. One less “annoying” bill. Since the paper has long been unpopular, the first step is easy. Who will defend the deposit? Probably no one. And right in this bush is a rabbit.
