From June 4 to 6, 2026, Ashgabat hosted the Turkmen Textile Expo-2026, an international textile exhibition that brought together participants from dozens of countries, including Italy, China, Türkiye, Uzbekistan, Iran, Germany, Estonia, and Belarus.
Pakistan was represented at the exhibition by one of the country’s largest textile companies — Nishat Group. The delegation was led by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Pakistan to Turkmenistan, H.E. Dr. Faryal Leghari, and Nishat Group Chairman Mian Muhammad Mansha. The company’s stand featured fabrics, home textiles, and women’s apparel. The Nishat Textiles pavilion drew considerable attention from diplomats, business representatives, and general visitors alike.
On the sidelines of the event, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan overseeing trade, the textile industry, and the private sector, Nokerguly Atagulyev, met with Mian Muhammad Mansha, expressing gratitude to him and the Pakistani side for their participation in the exhibition. The Deputy Prime Minister personally visited the Nishat Textiles pavilion and commended the high quality of the products on display.
Mian Muhammad Mansha, in turn, praised the high standard of organization of the exhibition, whose program included fashion shows featuring Turkmen and international designers.
