The participants were presented by the Founding President and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the National University, Professor Abdullah Yousef Al-Hawaj, and the Acting President of the University, Professor Mukhtar Al-Hashemi, along with the deans of the colleges, faculty members, employees, and students who came to sign the document in a scene that reflected the depth of national belonging and rallying around the wise leadership, and the renewal of the pledge and loyalty to the homeland and its leadership.

Professor Abdullah Al-Hawaj stressed that the National University was and will remain at the forefront of national institutions responding to the call of duty, pointing out that the role of universities is not limited to education and scientific research, but rather extends to consolidating the values of good citizenship and strengthening loyalty and national belonging among younger generations.

Al-Hawaj said: The security and stability that the Kingdom of Bahrain enjoys, and the continuous development and civilizational achievements it has achieved, are the result of the wise vision of His Majesty the King (may God protect and preserve him), and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister (may God protect him), stressing that these achievements reflect the strength of the historical cohesion between the leadership and the people.

He added that the wide turnout by university professors, employees and students to sign the document embodies a sincere national position and a renewed pledge of allegiance that expresses the highest meanings of loyalty and belonging, and confirms full support for everything that would protect Bahrain’s security, preserve its stability and strengthen its national unity, stressing that higher education institutions play a pivotal role in fortifying the minds of young people and enhancing their national awareness and societal responsibility.

In a related context, Al-Hawaj expressed his strong denunciation and condemnation of the sinful Iranian attacks against the Kingdom of Bahrain and the countries of the region, stressing that such practices represent a violation of the principles of good neighborliness and respect for the sovereignty of states, and only increase the cohesion, unity, and rallying of the people of Bahrain around their wise leadership and the institutions of their state.

He stressed that the National University will remain an active partner in supporting the national and development process, and an academic institution that contributes to preparing generations that are aware and adhere to their national principles, and are able to continue giving in the service of the nation.

The event concluded with the participants renewing their pledge to continue giving and giving for the sake of Bahrain’s elevation and progress, stressing that national unity and rallying around wise leadership represent the basic foundation for confronting challenges, enhancing the Kingdom’s security and stability, and continuing its comprehensive development renaissance.
