According to Jam Jam Online, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister in an interview with Sada and Sima news agency, emphasizing that the Islamic Republic of Iran relies on its authority, people and popular support, stated: The Islamic Republic of Iran is an independent country and whatever it deems to be in line with its interests, it takes the same decision and does not wait for the green light of any country.
“Kazem Gharibabadi” in response to the question, “Aren’t you worried about other people’s red lights?” He said: You saw how the Islamic Republic of Iran, our armed forces and our people gave a strong response to the Zionist regime and America in this 40-day war. This decisive answer marked a very big defeat for them and brought many brilliant victories for the Islamic Republic of Iran.
This senior Iranian diplomat also stated about the latest state of negotiations between Iran and the United States: As long as the Islamic Republic of Iran does not come to the conclusion that the understanding resolves all its worries and concerns and our national interests are fully guaranteed, naturally no understanding will be signed. This issue can be emphasized emphatically.
Further, in response to a question about the US President’s statement that the talks between Iran and the US are going well, Gharibabadi said: Americans need this understanding and negotiations, and this is an obvious thing, but we will join a negotiation process when our interests are secured.
Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister added: “Currently, we do not feel the need for a negotiation process and an understanding, unless that understanding is in line with the interests of the Islamic Republic of Iran.”
