According to the report on the apparent crime received from the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia, on June 7, 2026 at 08:19 at polling station No. 20/56, the proxy of “Strong Armenia” AS performed a double voting attempt, after which the machine printed a receipt with the inscription “double voting attempt”. “Armenpress”according to the report of the Investigative Committee, stating that A.A. was arrested.
“The ticket was taken by the polling station committee to present to the CEC, after which AS was invited out of the polling station and presented to the police officer.
A.S. was arrested by the police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs on the basis of a reasonable suspicion that he had committed a crime,” said the statement issued by the Central Committee.
Regarding the case, a criminal proceeding was initiated in the Gegharkunik Marz Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee under Part 1 of Article 44-214 of the Criminal Code (voting more than once).
The preliminary investigation of the criminal proceedings is ongoing.
Earlier, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia reported that 2 cases of repeated voting were recorded, and the documents were submitted to the pre-investigation body.
