    Brazil’s Federal Police claims the arrest was carried out in “international police cooperation” between the two countries.

    Brazilian authorities report the arrest by US immigration agents of former representative Alexandre Ramagem, sentenced to 16 years in prison for his participation in the coup plot that, according to the Supreme Court, was led by Jair Bolsonaro after losing the 2022 elections.

    The US Immigration and Customs Control Service (ICE) includes former federal deputy Alexandre Ramagem. The information was confirmed by the Federal Police to GloboNews.
