Within the framework of World Autism Spectrum Disorder Day (TEA), the Dominican Association of Wives of Officers of the Armed Forces (ADEOFA) held an awareness day aimed at promoting understanding, respect and inclusion of children with this condition.
As part of these actions, the walk “A Blue Walk” at the facilities of the Ministry of Defensean initiative that brought together families, military personnel and health professionals in an environment of integration, empathy and social commitment.
The activity was headed by the Minister of Defense, Carlos Antonio Fernández Onofretogether with the president of ADEOFAVarinnia Durán de Fernández, and had the participation of children cared for in the CAIFFAAwho were accompanied by their parents and therapists.
During the day, the president of ADEOFA reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to inclusion, love and the comprehensive development of children, highlighting that each step taken symbolizes an opportunity to make their capabilities visible, enhance their talents and strengthen the hope of their families.
