A 43-year-old man will serve preventive detention by two crimes of public outrage to modesty after being arrested on April 9 in Montevideo for inappropriate touching during a trip on a passenger bus.
The incident occurred in the afternoon, in the vicinity of 18 de Julio and 8 de Octubre avenues, when the individual was traveling on a bus and was surprised while performing obscene acts.
After being transferred to a police station, his identity was verified and Justice was intervened. The judge ordered the formalization of the investigation and the preventive detention of the accused until June 10, 2026.
