B. Lastauskas, who came to the evening of announcing the nominees of the “PATINKA” awards held at the “AC Hotel by Marriott Vilnius” hotel, was happy that there were finally awards for opinion makers in Lithuania.
“This is a new concept, I think it is necessary – it should have appeared a long time ago. After all, we have many content creators in Lithuania, so why not make an event where they could challenge themselves and evaluate their work of the year?”, – People.lt he said.
True, when asked if he himself feels competition with other developers, Ben assured that such “fights” are not his style.
“I don’t have that kind of character – competing is not my thing. Everything comes to me naturally, from myself, I don’t really think about what others are doing,” he said.
And it seems that this approach is working well for him. Ben, who recently made a witty comment on the engagement of fighter Dominykos Dirkštis and businesswoman and beauty specialist Oksana Pikul, attracted a lot of attention – basketball player Simas Jasaitis joined the discussion. When asked if he really intends to attend the couple’s possible wedding, the content creator smiled – why not.
“If it really happens, I will definitely participate. I’m really looking forward to it, I want to see what and how it will happen. And I’d love to play basketball with S. Jasaičius – now that we’re friends on Facebook, maybe we’ll correspond,” B. Lastauskas intrigued on Wednesday.
Although Ben’s posts are mostly current affairs, he says he doesn’t try to keep track of everything.
“I only follow what I’m interested in. I like when attention centers form around something – then it’s fun to joke about it, and people also contribute in the comments themselves. My content is based on that – it’s like I throw a bone, and then everything develops by itself,” explained Ben.
B. Lastauskas, who was nominated in the “I LIKE ATTITUDE” category, also revealed that he enjoys looking at the events taking place in the country from a different angle. However, he himself does not try to form an opinion on the Internet, what should be supported – his goal is to make fun of even the most absurd things. And when asked if he believed O.Pikul and D.Dirksti’s declaration of love, he assured that he was not thinking too much about it and was just “playing” together.
“To be honest, I don’t even think about it. I just see something happening and it’s fun for me. And how it really is – it’s about people. Anyway, everything we do in public space is a bit of a game. And you have to play it and never take things too seriously, otherwise you can go crazy. And I don’t want to go crazy, so I just enjoy the game,” – People.lt Ben said.
Although B. Lastauskas has been creating on social networks for several years, when asked if he is still surprised by the various “games” of the world of entertainment, he assured that it is difficult to get used to the constantly arising dramas.
“Every day is surprising. Really, something surprises you every day, and that’s the most fun. As long as life surprises you, it’s fun to live. Keep it up,” said the interlocutor in a cheerful mood.
While Ben’s posts may entertain some, they may offend others. However, when asked if he is not afraid of the reaction of O. Pikul or other “moved” people, he smiled – he has no doubt that most people understand his humor, and if not, he says that he can apologize.
“Let’s hope not. I think that most people understand everything and assess the situation adequately. And if someone doesn’t understand, that’s the least of my problems. I don’t want to anger anyone, I don’t want to offend anyone. And if someone is offended, I can apologize if it helps,” said B. Lastauskas.
Although the year is not even half over yet, when asked what he would single out as the biggest scandal of the year, the content creator had no doubt that the answer was clear to many.
“I think all of this Dirksty, what he’s doing. It’s gotten loud enough and a lot of people are reacting to it. Some people don’t see it as a game, but take it very personally. And it’s fun for me to watch from the side how he doesn’t stop, doesn’t stop and goes forward. You can like it, you can not like it, but there are few people who are indifferent”, he said.
And when asked how he thinks this whole love story will end, as usual, Ben gave an ironic answer.
“I think it will end with a great wedding, which will be the biggest in the history of Lithuania. I will participate one hundred percent, I’m really looking forward to it,” People.lt smiled Benas Lastauskas.
