AIK states that it is in constant contact with the police and the city of Solna to ensure that there is a safe environment around the club’s activities at the sports field.
“First and foremost, we want to be clear that the club has a good dialogue with players, coaches and guardians, and that it is generally a safe and secure environment when our teams play football at Skytteholms IP,” says Jonas Hägerhäll, club manager, on the club website.
“On the other hand, gang crime is a major societal problem and we have repeatedly noticed that our resources as a sports club are insufficient after our players have completed their training or matches,” he continues.
