President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan continues intense diplomatic traffic.
He frequently maintains contacts via phone calls and occasionally hosts important figures from world politics in Ankara.
A new one will be added to these talks in the coming days.
THE PRESIDENT OF ALGERIA IS COMING TO Türkiye
Algerian President Abdülmecid Tebbun will come to Türkiye on May 6-8, upon the invitation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Director of Communications Burhanettin Duran made a statement about the visit on his social media account.

“BILATERAL COOPERATIONS WILL BE CONSIDERED”
Duran’s statement included the following statements:
“As part of the visit, the first meeting of the Türkiye-Algeria High Level Strategic Cooperation Council will be held in Ankara on May 7, 2026.
“At the Council Meeting to be held with the participation of relevant ministers from both countries, all aspects of our relations with friendly and brotherly Algeria will be evaluated and the steps that can be taken to further develop our bilateral cooperation will be discussed.”

SOME AGREEMENTS ARE EXPECTED TO BE SIGNED
Duran continues his words: “During the meetings, ideas will also be exchanged on current regional and international developments.
“On the occasion of the visit, it is also planned to sign various agreements that will strengthen the contractual basis of bilateral relations.” he said.
