Turkmenistan is hosting an environmental project competition, “Regional Ecology and Green Initiatives,” among students from comprehensive schools across the country. The competition is organized by the Ashgabat City Committee of the Party of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan.
The competition aims to identify practical and innovative ideas from schoolchildren in the field of environmental protection. Participants can submit projects in four areas: the rational use of transboundary water resources and new drip irrigation methods, the creation of green zones to combat desertification, the recycling of polymer waste, and the use of digital technologies and sensors for environmental monitoring.
Students from schools in Turkmenistan whose projects have not previously been submitted to other competitions are eligible to participate. Along with the application and project plan, they must include personal information: first and last name, school name, grade level, and contact phone number. Each participant may submit only one project.
Applications are accepted until May 10, 2026. Submissions should be sent to tstp.ashgabat22@gmail.com. After the expert committee selects the best projects, the final stage will be a public presentation before a jury.
The competition will close on May 13, 2026. Winners in three categories—one first, two second, and three third places—will receive honorary certificates from the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan and the Central Council of the Party of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, as well as valuable gifts and incentive prizes.
