The chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha from Dibra, again accused former deputy prime minister Belinda Balluku and prime minister Edi Rama of being caught in corrupt affairs.
According to him, in only 8 affairs, they have abused 1.2 billion euros, while he said that “Balluku has administered 12 billion euros in Albanian taxes”.
“A deputy prime minister and the prime minister are caught with documents, with dozens, hundreds of documents, that in 8 affairs they looted and abused 1.2 billion euros. And these are only 8 affairs. And don’t forget that that black raven of corruption, Lubia, has administered 12 billion euros of your taxes. How much is 12 billion euros, friends? 12 billion euros is your salary 12 times bigger, bigger. They are 12 times the total salaries of Albania. I guarantee you that if they were used according to the law, the salaries of Albanians would be not 3, but 4 times higher”, said Berisha.
The leader of the opposition also focused on the debate within the Democratic Party and the exclusion of the candidates for DP president.
He accused Ervin Salianji of having lunch and dinner with those whom, according to him, Berisha hit the most.
“Ervin Salianji was imprisoned because he made public a recording in which he testified that Fatmir Xhafa’s brother, Geron Xhafa, who was sentenced to 11 years in Italy, continued to lead the traffic from Vlora. Berisha and PD condemned this act and succeeded, in all international resolutions, to declare Salianji a political prisoner because he was and we did well. I went to him and in prison I gave orders to other friends to go see him. I have said it before and it was summer and he came to my office and said ‘I need your advice, I have 3-4 months left to serve my sentence and to get out I have to make a statement that I will not kill Fatmir Xhafa… I told him not to make this statement because it means admitting guilt party and we understood it. He told me that you will not hold elections in a dictatorship.
