A minor child was injured after falling from the terrace of an abandoned building in Kumanovoinformed by SVR Kumanovo.
The event was reported yesterday around 9:20 p.m., when a doctor from the Emergency Medical Service reported that a child was brought to them with injuries.
According to information from the police, the child was injured when he fell from a terrace in an abandoned building on Kiril and Metodij Street.
A team from SVR Kumanovo has inspected the place and is taking measures to completely clear up the case.
It is about the former “Pioneer Home”, a building that has been neglected for years and is often the target of vandalism, although it is located in the central city area, near schools.
From Municipality of Kumanovo previously informed that they are interested in taking over the building, but so far their initiatives have been rejected due to unresolved legal status.
According to urban plans, the building is intended for educational activity, while part of the premises is currently used by a kindergarten. In the meantime, its condition has seriously deteriorated – some of the installations have been removed, and the building is significantly damaged.
