Vandal act in OOU “Vancho Prqe” in Stip today, he suspended classes for over 1,100 students, confirmed the director Kokan Radev.
According to the initial information, a person entered the school around midnight and caused a lot of property damage. Smart boards, school boards, computers and part of the inventory were destroyed, and the walls and desks were spray painted.
– The person entered from the side of the gymnasium and stayed for a certain period, after which he headed towards the classrooms. The damage was done in most of the classrooms for subject teaching – said Radev.
According to him, the vandal damaged rooms on the first, second and third floors, where classes are held for students from the fifth to the ninth grade. The ground floor, apart from the part where the search was carried out, was not significantly damaged.
The security cameras registered the event, and one of them was sprayed with spray, and despite this, it managed to record part of the incident.
The school has been inspected by investigative authorities since the early hours of the morning, and the assessment of the damage is still ongoing.
The director expressed hope that within a few days the classrooms will be equipped and classes will resume from the beginning of next week, for which parents and students will be further informed.
This is the first such incident in the largest school in the central city area of Stip.
