“In Tuapse, the liquidation of oil products continues, the works are going on around the clock. In total, 9,793 cubic meters of contaminated soil and water-oil mixture were collected and removed, including 2,523 cubic meters on the last day,” the statement said.
It is noted that as of April 29, 323 people and 51 units of equipment are participating in the works.
The operative headquarters also reported on the Telegram channel that the fire at the oil refinery spread to a residential building. it has already been paid off.
It is noted that there were no residents in the building at the time of the emergency. they were preemptively evacuated on the morning of April 28.
On the night of April 28, a large fire broke out at the Tuapse oil refinery due to a drone attack. Residents of the neighborhoods close to the fire were evacuated. On April 28, a regional state of emergency was declared in Tuapse municipal district.
The Tuapse oil refinery was attacked by Ukrainian forces for the third time in April. The strikes have caused major fires and polluted rivers.
