Stowers Claims Gold in Record-Breaking Performance at IBFC Universal Weightlifting Cup
Seine Stowers has delivered a sensational performance on the international stage, rewriting the record books and securing gold at the IBFC Universal Weightlifting Cup.

Competing in the Women’s 77kg category, Stowers set the tone early with a powerful 112kg snatch — a lift that not only earned her top position in the discipline but also established new Commonwealth and Oceania records. Calm under pressure and technically precise, she executed the lift with authority, signalling a dominant outing ahead.
She carried that momentum into the clean and jerk, where she once again raised the bar. Stowers successfully lifted 142kg, breaking the Commonwealth and Oceania records in the event and further extending her lead over the competition.
With both lifts combined, Stowers posted a total of 254kg, completing a clean sweep of Commonwealth and Oceania records across snatch, clean and jerk, and total. Her commanding performance secured her the gold medal and cemented her status as one of the most exciting talents in weightlifting today.
The result marks another major milestone in Stowers’ rapidly rising career, as she continues to push boundaries and set new standards on the platform.
