On the night of April 28, Tuapse was attacked by Ukrainian Armed Forces drones for the third time in less than two weeks. UAV debris that fell onto the refinery territory caused a fire. On the instructions of the president, the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Alexander Kurenkov, went to the site and will lead the liquidation of the consequences of the raid.
The unmanned threat was declared in Tuapse on April 28 at 0:51 and canceled at 5:18. Half an hour later, the operational headquarters of the Krasnodar Territory reported a fire at the Tuapse Oil Refinery, which arose as a result of falling debris from a drone.
At about half past nine in the morning, the mayor of Tuapse Sergei Boyko published a post that the fire could spread to residential areas near the oil refinery.
Residents of nearby houses were informed that the evacuation had begun and were offered accommodation at a temporary accommodation center opened at secondary school No. 6. The city authorities have not yet reported any casualties or damage to housing.
In the morning, 164 people and 39 pieces of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire on the territory of the oil refinery in Tuapse.

The extinguishing of fires at oil storage facilities in Tuapse will be personally supervised by the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Alexander Kurenkov – this order was given to him by Vladimir Putin, said presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov. About 360 people and more than 60 pieces of equipment are involved in cleaning the shores of the Black Sea and the Tuapse River. Booms have been installed on the territory of the marine terminal and on the shoreline of the central beach, and oil traps have been installed at the mouth of the Tuapse River.
