“My parents bled for this country. My mother was in a Bulgarian prison, my father was wounded and we buried him with a Bulgarian bullet, so Jane Cento cannot love this country more than me. My mother was on the Srem Front, she was wounded on the Srem Front. Who gives him the right that he loves this country more than me,” the former prosecutor said to “Sloboden Pechat” Vilma Ruskovska after the convicted for breaking into the Assembly, Jane Cento announced that today at noon he will file a criminal complaint against Ruskovska.
– We, the prosecutors, are only a party in the proceedings, the final decision is made by the first and second instance courts. Unlike Jane Cento, I fight with the strength of arguments and evidence, not with violence. Violence is never the solution, the verdict was upheld by the appeals court and the supreme court so it implies that there was no illegal action in any instance. This is, in my opinion, misleading the public because one of the pre-election promises of the current government was that they would release the accused from April 27. And now the question arises why the criminal complaint is only against me, and the court brings the verdict. So where is the prosecutor, I don’t know who acted, before the Court of Appeal in the second instance procedure and the judges there. Where is the prosecutor before the supreme court. This is drawing attention, I think, from the pre-election promise of VMRO – DPMNE, which they did not fulfill. My mother was in a Bulgarian prison, my father was wounded and we buried him with a Bulgarian bullet, so Jane Cento cannot love this country more than me. So how can he claim that he loves this country more, since my parents bled for this country. Who gives him the right that he loves this country more than me – says Ruskovska about the announced application.
Jane Cento announced a press conference at noon in front of the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office, at which, as she announced, information on the filing of a criminal complaint against the former public prosecutor will be shared and details and arguments related to the procedure for the events of April 27 will be presented.
– It’s time for real justice and truth for April 27. We invite you to attend a press conference that will be held on April 27, 2026 at 12:00 in front of the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office. At the press conference, information will be shared about the filing of a criminal complaint against a former public prosecutor with the initials V.R. and details and arguments related to the procedure will be presented – the announcement states.
In the announcement, Cento says that this is the beginning of a process to determine responsibility and clear up all the circumstances related to the April 27 trial. In 2019, Jane Cento, along with 15 other persons, was sentenced to 13 years in prison on the charge of “terrorist threat to the constitutional order” and in the “April 27” case related to the invasion of the Parliament. The case was tried by the judge Dobrila Katsarskanow a judge in the Constitutional Court. Some of the defendants in the case received amnesty with the law that was passed in the Parliament at the end of 2018.
Ruskovska led the case before the Skopje Criminal Court, i.e. in the first instance.
The criminal court granted amnesty to the accused in the “Organizers of April 27” case
