“Are you okay, brother… No, I’m very bad, my mother-in-law died.” citizen tried to joke with Pashinyan in Maralik

RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, together with the ministers of education, science, culture and sports, as well as the economy, was in Maralik on the occasion of “Citizen’s Day”, where cultural and sports events were organized, products of local producers were shown, as well as project works of school students.
A large number of people gathered to welcome him in the central square. He indiscriminately greeted everyone, even children, and congratulated them on the occasion of “Citizen’s Day”, asking everyone’s pastimes.
“Hello, brother, how are you?” asked Nikol Pashinyan. “Fighter,” answered one of the men.

He also asked one of the citizens. “Are you okay?” he replied. “No, I’m very bad.” Nikol Pashinyan was interested. “What happened?” the citizen continued with a serious face. “My baby died.” It seemed to Nikol Pashinyan that the man was having a serious conversation, he expressed his condolences, while he started joking. “I poured five cubes of concrete on my mother-in-law, it came out, it came out.”

The humor was so inappropriate that the Prime Minister could hardly laugh.

This man was followed by another who began his speech with praise. “We are so grateful to you that you have made the clean streets of our Maralik, but if you put a suit on a person, the shoes will have holes. There is a small street there, it is 130 meters long.” Nikol Pashinyan learned the name of the street, promising that it will also be renovated.

“You are welcome, I will die for you, do you remember me?” A woman greeted Pashinyan and started kissing him.

Another citizen asked him to spare a minute, said that he was from the distant Meghrashat border village of Amasya, the crop remained, about 152 tons, he complained that there was no buyer for the wheat. Pashinyan referred him to Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan.

Along with praises and words of thanks, people also approached the Prime Minister with serious problems. A soldier approached and said that the certification was passed, but he did not receive the countdown. And while Pashinyan was directing him to Suren Papikyan, the soldier tried to deliver a letter.

“You can forward the letter, but now they will hear it on the air, they will solve the problem, it is more effective that way,” Pashinyan advised.

Citizens, especially children, approached and, so to speak, wanted real maps of Armenia from Nikol Pashinyan, he was happy to distribute them, saying that it was a very good gift on the occasion of “Citizen’s Day”.

Another soldier said that his eyes are blind, but he did not get an apartment, he was not put on the waiting list, he was told that there is no waiting list. Pashinyan said that they will look and think about how they can solve the problem.

Nikol Pashinyan was treated to a barbecue, he refused, saying: “I have breakfast, thank you, make it sweet.”

“Congratulate us once,” said the citizens who laid the table.

“I don’t drink, but I will clink,” answered Nikol Pashinyan, raising a glass and congratulating.

The head of the government toured the pavilions.

A woman, seeing the prime minister, seemed to say a toast: “We are celebrating the citizen’s day, so I want every citizen to live with dignity, but that dignity comes from the fact that each of us is obliged to do something good for our motherland.”

Nikol Pashinyan answered: “I imagine doing something good for the motherland as follows: work, create results, pay taxes prescribed by law, so that the government, in turn, has the opportunity to return that work to the citizens through the health insurance system, school construction, kindergarten construction, road construction and other investments.”

Another citizen waved hello saying: “Comrade Pashinyan, hello to you”, then corrected the word to “Mr. Pashinyan”.

Nikol Pashinyan asked the representatives of the Maralik cotton yarn factory if they were working, they said that they have 64 employees and wanted to give Pashinyan gifts from their products, but he refused.

“No, gifts are not needed,” said Pashinyan, leaving.

“Are you a citizen or just an observer?” schoolchildren asked Pashinyan to answer that question in one of the booths. Pashinyan answered in writing. One of the art schools presented Pashinyan with a painted heart, which has already become a symbol of his propaganda.

He planted a tree in Maralik, gave a lecture on the ideology of “Real Armenia” and left.
