The Cashea platform extended its system financing the payment of public services with the incorporation of the Compañía Anónima Nacional Telefonos de Venezuela (Cantv), an alliance that will allow users to manage their telephone and internet bills from the mobile application.
The new option includes landline telephone and internet connection services, including ABA and ABA Ultra. According to the announced conditions, customers will be able to defer payment of their invoices without interest when the outstanding amount is equal to or greater than two dollars.
To use the tool, subscribers must enter the accounts and services section of Cashea and identify your line by telephone number, including area code, or contract number. The application will allow you to consult the pending balance and save the account data with a personalized name, which will make it easier to identify it in future payments.
The operation will also be linked to the platform’s loyalty program. Each transaction made to cancel Cantv services will add points in the Cashea Club, which allows users to advance between its different levels. To access the feature, you need to have the most recent version of the application.
Cashea and the return of consumer financing
The incorporation of Cantv occurs amid Cashea’s expansion in Venezuela, where the platform began operating in October 2022 with a buy now, pay later model. Its proposal consists of allowing consumers to purchase products from affiliated businesses through an initial payment and subsequent interest-free installments, as long as they meet the established conditions.
The application found space in a market marked by bank credit restrictions and the loss of household purchasing power. A report of Bloomberg published in December 2023 noted that more than 95% of Cashea users had never had access to credit, a sign of the demand for credit alternatives. financing among Venezuelan consumers.
Since then, the platform has expanded its presence in different commercial sectors, including supermarkets, pharmacies, clothing stores, appliances and household items. Its official website reports that it has a network of more than 40,000 businesses in the country and offers interest-free payment plans for purchases that meet its conditions.
The incorporation of Cantv extends this possibility to bills that are part of the recurring expenses of households. The advantage is in the option to defer the disbursement, not in a reduction of the amount owed: the user is still responsible for paying the total under the established deadlines.
