PARAMARIBO — Jurgen Cicilson, who was wrongly released due to a blunder by the Geyersvlijt police, reported to the police station on Monday with his lawyer. He has again been locked up in the cell house, the Suriname Police Corps reported on its website on Monday.
Cicilson was released on October 14 at ten to five in the afternoon. However, it turned out to be a mistake as the female detainee AR Cicilson should have been released. “After the discovery, the detainee Cicilson A. was released later that day,” the KPS writes.
Jurgen Cicilson was ordered arrested by the Attorney General on October 15. “The suspect was unlawfully released on Wednesday, October 14, 2026,” it was written. Cicilson, born on November 12, 1983, is suspected of participating in a criminal organization, violation of the Narcotic Drugs Act and violation of confidentiality/professional secrecy.
