PARAMARIBO — The Economic Control Department (ECD) has seized a consignment of agricultural chemicals from the ACA company on Pandit Tilakdharieweg. These probably come from smuggling.
During the inspection, purchase receipts were requested and checked to determine the origin of the chemicals. “The receipts only had a stamp from the supplier and did not contain any address details. The incomplete labels on the packaging also increased the suspicion of smuggling,” the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Entrepreneurship and Technological Innovation (EZ) writes in a press release.
