The judiciary strikes hard at the second death sentence for drug “barons” – Al-Shorouk Online

Tightening control over drug and hallucinogen networks under the new law:

The judiciary continues to issue heavy deterrent sentences, as the death sentence was issued for the second time since the implementation of death sentences, in a step that brings the issue of strict penalties in the face of serious crimes back to the forefront, and highlights efforts to confront criminal networks that threaten the security and safety of society.

These two death sentences send a clear message to members of drug smuggling and trafficking networks, and any parties connected to them, regarding the Algerian authorities’ strict approach towards implementing an extremely strict policy in combating drugs in Algeria, and ending the activity of smuggling and trafficking networks, after the issue has become a worrying impact on order, public security, and civil and societal peace in the country.
