SAN MARINO – The San Marino Socialist Reformist Party (PSRS) expresses satisfaction with the expected signing of the Association Agreement between San Marino and the European Union, scheduled for Monday 19 October, defining it as a historic turning point for the Republic after over ten years of discussions and negotiations.
According to the PSRS, the agreement opens up new prospects for economic growth and European integration, with opportunities for citizens, businesses and young people. Greater integration with the European market could in fact contribute to strengthening the competitiveness of the San Marino economic system, broadening the professional possibilities of the new generations and consolidating the international role of the Republic.
The party underlines, however, that the signing of the Agreement represents only the beginning of a path that will require administrative capacity, political responsibility and a shared commitment to address the necessary adjustments.
Particular attention, according to the PSRS, must be paid to supporting businesses and the possibility of making the opportunities deriving from the agreement concretely accessible to citizens.
“The signature does not represent a point of arrival, but the beginning of a new phase”, observes the party, highlighting the need to transform the commitments undertaken into tangible results for those who work, for those who do business and for those who choose to build their future in San Marino.
For the PSRS, the value of the Agreement must be measured above all through the actual benefits it will be able to produce for the community, keeping people and the general interest of the Republic at the center of future political choices.
