Dominica’s voter confirmation exercise officially came to a close on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at 5:30 PM, but the Electoral Office says registration services will continue across the island.
Beginning Friday, October 16, individuals wishing to register will be able to visit designated Registration Offices in all 21 constituencies.
In a statement, the Electoral Office explained that the end of the confirmation exercise does not mean that voter registration services have stopped.
The Electoral Commission had decided during a meeting on October 7 that the October 14 deadline would remain in place, with no further extension to the confirmation period.
With that deadline now passed, attention will shift to continuous registration, which will operate until further notice.
The Electoral Office said the registration services will be available at the same locations previously used as Confirmation Centres in the respective constituencies.
Members of the public who wish to register are therefore encouraged to visit the designated offices during their scheduled operating hours.
The new registration schedule is as follows:
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday: 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM
- Wednesday and Sunday: Closed.
The Electoral Office is encouraging all eligible individuals who have not yet completed their registration to visit their designated offices and
take advantage of the continued service. Members of the public are also being urged to familiarise themselves with the revised arrangements and observe the established operating hours. The
Electoral Office has emphasised that registration will continue beyond the conclusion of the confirmation exercise, providing eligible citizens
with further opportunities to complete the process.
