The KLA War Veterans Organization has condemned the misuse of the flag with the symbol of the Kosovo Liberation Army in acts of vandalism, during the protest in Tirana.
The organization has called on all the organizers and participants of the protests to preserve the dignity and sanctity of this symbol.
“The KLA War Veterans Organization condemns any misuse of the flag with the symbol of the Kosovo Liberation Army in acts of vandalism.
This symbol represents the Liberation War of Kosovo, the martyrs of the nation and the freedom gained by this sacrifice. As such, it can never be used to justify, identify or hide actions that damage public or private property.
Every citizen has the right to protest, but no dissatisfaction, no matter how deep, does not give anyone the right to associate the KLA flag with violence, destruction and looting. We call on all the organizers and participants of the protests to preserve the dignity and sanctity of this symbol”, says the reaction.
