Bajrami: In September, prices increased by 7.8%, all we have seen in these 6 years is the increase in prices

The deputy of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Hykmete Bajrami, has criticized the Government for the increase in prices in Kosovo, saying that during the last six years no structural and fiscal reforms have been undertaken to ease the lives of citizens and businesses.
Bajrami referred to the data on the price increase in September, which according to her reached 7.8 percent.
“No structural reform, no fiscal reform that makes life easier for citizens and businesses. All we have seen for 6 years is the enormous increase in prices.”
She said that citizens and businesses are paying more and more for goods and services, while the Government is benefiting from increased revenues from Value Added Tax (VAT) and other taxes.
According to Bajrami, the Government has turned into a “populist collector and distributor of the budget”.
“Every increase in prices means fewer products in the consumer basket. Citizens are paying more, but buying less!”, she wrote.
Bajrami has described the government as a failure.
