Mr. Hamad added that in the last one year, 237 thousand 198 disadvantaged families have been helped with food and non-food items using the facilities of this agency and partner institutions.
He also said that last year 383 thousand 133 needy families were given 1 billion 868 million 256 thousand 75 Afghanis in cash.
The spokesperson of the Disaster Preparedness Agency added that during this period, 196 preventive projects have been implemented to reduce the risk of accidents and 2050 houses have been repaired and rebuilt.
The sources said that during the last one year, 387 thousand 177 people have been given public awareness for the purpose of preparing against incidents.
Mr. Hamad added that 139 agreements worth 89 thousand 654 thousand 685 dollars have been signed with various domestic and international organizations in order to attract coordination and cooperation.
During this period, 141.65 kilometers of land were cleared of mines and 9,775 mines were discovered and destroyed.
According to him, last year, 679 citizens were martyred, 1634 people were injured, 4 thousand 470 houses were completely destroyed and 17 thousand 664 houses were partially destroyed.
