Police Captain Kelly Daniela Lozano Hernández, the former aide-de-camp of the first lady Verónica Alcocer, will have to return in the coming days from the commission to Qatar to which she was sent. This was ordered by the President of the Republic, Abelardo de La Espriella, after the officer’s name was mentioned in the statements of the Spanish Eva Ferrer.
The latter, once a friend of Alcocer and his advisor, in addition to talking about movements of money and drugs on official flights, mentioned the aide as one of the people who was aware of the conduct of the then wife of President Gustavo Petro.

Ferrer, who confirmed The scoop from the Investigative Unit of EL TIEMPO, of the existence of a group called ‘the Verónicas’, who moved contracts and appointments in State entities, spoke of the first lady’s trips to supposedly transfer cash and even drugs.
In addition to Xavier Vendrell, Manel Grau and Mario Fernández Alcocer (Verónica’s cousin), the Spanish mentioned that captain Lozano “You have to know all the movements.”
“They have it now at the Qatari Embassy. In other words, they leave it in place before leaving. For me, those are two people (referring to Carolina Plata) who have been along Verónica’s entire path these four years,” added Ferrer in dialogue with Semana.

Sources within the Police told the Investigative Unit of THE TIME that the captain’s name had already begun to be heard in the Inspection of the Institution and even in complaints presented to the Presidency that were never successful.
“On March 18, 2025, an anonymous complaint arrived at Presidential Protection, which was duly filed, stating that Captain Lozano, the first lady’s aide-de-camp, was abusing her power and dignity. But nothing ever happened because she was untouchable“said an active officer.
And attached a document in which Colonel Luis Alfredo Bermúdez Benjumea, then head of Presidential Protection (e.), responds to the complaint.

In the attached document, referenced as ‘response ticket 654200-20250318’, a summary of the behaviors that were requested to be investigated is made.
“(…) good morning I refer this complaint to Miss Captain Kelly Daniela Lozano who is the head of the scheme of the first lady of the nation (sic) her bad leadership and lack of respect for the personnel under her command giving credibility to some of her officials, who are her protégés and in this way she harms the dignity and does not listen to both parties making decisions that harm those who are not part of her “rosca” showing her mismanagement and bad leadership. (…)”, the document reads.
and the same The official pointed out that, according to versions that were never confirmed, the aide-de-camp prevented some members of the protection scheme from carrying out security protocols regarding the movements of Alcocer and his companions, an issue that now fits with Eva Ferrer’s version.
At the time, however, the anonymity was attributed to internal envy over the position assigned to Captain Lozano. whom other sectors in the Police classify as an impeccable officer, a member of a family linked to the institution for decades.

The concrete thing is that the response of Colonel Bermúdez – current police attaché in Argentina – was that, ““With the purpose of activating the roadmap for the prevention and attention of alleged mistreatment of the personnel that makes up the security scheme of the First Lady of the Nation, it was decided to coordinate a space with the personnel that make up said protective scheme (sic).”
The purpose, he explained, was “carry out an intervention in the work environment, with the participation of professional and suitable personnel in the psychology area of this Headquarters, to verify in a particular and concrete manner the matters reported and brought to the attention of this Headquarters, guaranteeing confidentiality and respect for public officials.”
And, immediately afterwards, he asked the author of the ‘anonymous’ to provide evidence that proves the aforementioned conduct, “making available the institutional capacities for this purpose, with due reservation of the source.”
But the issue never prospered and Only now will it be asked to dust itself off, and other members of the protection scheme be ordered to testify.
The captain has not commented, but colleagues point out that she has an impeccable resume.
