“Summary” (AKIpress) – In the Alamedin district, citizen M.I., born in 1984, was detained suspected of fraud in the sale of a counterfeit mobile phone. This was reported by the press service of the Central Internal Affairs Directorate of the Chui region.
On October 1, citizen Zh.E. contacted the Alamedinsky District Department of Internal Affairs. He stated that the unknown person, having gained trust, received 50 thousand soms for an iPhone 17 Pro Max mobile phone, which turned out to be counterfeit. Checking the IMEI code showed that the device corresponds to a smart watch.
A criminal case has been initiated into the fact under Article 209 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic (fraud). The suspect was placed in a temporary detention center.
The investigation is looking into possible similar cases of fraud.
