DCA warns of unofficial air ticket sales

Legal actions will be definitely followed if air tickets are sold at prices higher than official rates, said the Department of Civil Aviation (DCA) on 5 October.

Anyone who sells air tickets via social media’s fake accounts shall be punishable by the penal code, it said.

Passengers can file complaints directly to respective airlines if they get to pay higher than official rates or buy tickets via fake accounts, along with complete information such as passenger name, purchase date, flight data, booking PNR or ticket number, price they had to pay and evidence of payment, said DCA.
