SAN MARINO – Akida, a medium-sized mixed-breed dog, aged 7 and weighing around 13 kilos, disappeared on 1 October. The appeal is launched by the owner, Valentina Carrarawho asks for help to find the animal.
Akida got scared during the installation ceremony of the Captains Regent, due to the shots, and ran off the leash in the Guaita area, heading towards the Kursaal and the Cliff path. The dog is described as sweet, but wary of people she doesn’t know.
The searches continued in the following days also with the support of the police, the fire brigade and citizens. Two specialized search dogs also intervened: the tracks identified directed the searches towards the path that goes down to Murata, in the area of the former skeet shooting area.
“Akida is part of my family: she was by my side during a period of severe depression and represents a fundamental support in my life,” she says Valentina Carrarawho continues to search for the dog and invites anyone with information to report it.
Anyone who has spotted Akida, even in the previous days, is invited to communicate the place and time of the sighting. In the event of an encounter, the owner recommends not chasing her and notifying her immediately.
