The Government of Dominica has reported continued progress on the Loubiere – Grand Bay Road Project, while expressing appreciation to residents and motorists for their cooperation and patience as construction works continue along the important southern corridor.
Work on four bridges located at Loubiere near the former Dominica Brewery, Pichelin and Mitchum is approaching completion.
Associated river-training works are also progressing and are expected to be completed by the end of October.
Meanwhile, major works along the section between Grand Bay and Bellevue Chopin are approximately 95 percent complete.
The remaining activities include road markings, signage, lighting, and river training, with the project expected to further improve the safety, resilience, and reliability of the road network serving communities in southern Dominica and other road users.
