SAN MARINO – The majority intervenes in the investigation involving some figures of Giochi del Titano SpA, expressing full confidence in the actions of the authorities and asking for clarification of the facts in compliance with the autonomy of the Judiciary, the guarantees provided by the law and the principle of presumption of innocence.
San Marino Christian Democratic Party, Libera, Party of Socialists and Democrats, Reformist Alliance and the independent councilor Giovanna Cecchetti they underline the seriousness of the matter and recall the importance of control tools and collaboration between the San Marino authorities and those of other countries, in particular in combating money laundering.
The majority also highlights the need to guarantee the regular continuation of the activity of Giochi del Titano, a publicly owned company considered an important reality for the San Marino economic system. The objective, the political forces underline, must be to ensure business continuity, worker protection and full collaboration with the competent authorities.
“The investigations will have to clarify the facts and any responsibilities”, states the majority, inviting us not to anticipate conclusions on individual responsibilities, the assessment of which is up to the Judiciary.
PDCS, Libera, PSD, Riformist Alliance and Giovanna Cecchetti finally, they believe it is necessary to keep the judicial investigation plan separate from political and institutional assessments, which remain the responsibility of politics.
