Astana: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik arrived in Astana on Monday on a two-day state visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan.
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of the Republic of Kazakhstan led the welcoming party for His Majesty at Nursultan Nazarbayev International Airport in the Kazakh capital, Astana. The President wished His Majesty and his accompanying delegation a pleasant stay and a successful visit.
Afterwards, His Majesty the Sultan shook hands with the welcoming party from the Kazakh side and the members of the Sultanate of Oman’s Embassy in Astana. Then, the President shook hands with the delegation accompanying His Majesty.
After that, His Majesty the Sultan and the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan viewed the parade of the Guard of Honour.
As the plane carrying His Majesty the Sultan entered Kazakh airspace, it was escorted by military aircraft of the Kazakh Air Forces, in a manifestation of warm welcome for His Majesty’s gracious visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan.
An Official reception ceremony will be held for His Majesty the Sultan at the Palace of Independence in the Kazakh capital, Astana tomorrow (Tuesday).
