Air Greenland writes that regularity increased by 13.9 percentage points to 85.7 percent, while punctuality for fixed-wing aircraft increased by 20 percentage points to 73 percent, and that direct costs as a result of operational disruptions fell by DKK 26.3 million. to DKK 44.6 million DKK
Managing director, Jacob Nitter Sørensen, sees the half-year result as a sign that the company is on the right track after a challenging 2025.
According to the director, Air Greenland has adapted the schedule to demand and strengthened the handling of delays and technical incidents.
– The adjustments we have implemented have had an effect, and we continue to see a strong demand for travel to, from and in Greenland. But we are not there yet, he says and continues:
– When irregularities occur in traffic, the conditions under which we operate continue to put considerable pressure on passenger and freight handling. Limited hotel capacity, especially in the central hubs, and increasing traffic place great demands on both planning and customer communication. Therefore, we continue to work purposefully to strengthen customer handling when traffic is affected. At the same time, I would like to thank our employees for their extraordinary efforts during a period of great pressure on the organisation.
