“Sport AKIpress” – Kyrgyz wrestler Asan Zhanyshov reached the finals of the Asian Games in Japan.
He competes in Greco-Roman wrestling in the weight category up to 87 kg.
The Kyrgyzstani started from the 1/4 final stage, where his opponent was the current winner of the Asian Games and the 2025 Asian champion Zhalgasbai Berdimuratov from Uzbekistan.
Zhanyshov confidently fought the fight, won with a score of 4:0 and reached the semi-finals.
In the semi-final match, the Kyrgyzstani fought against Shamil Ozhaev (Kazakhstan) and won with a score of 6:1.
Zhanyshov reached the final, where his opponent will be a wrestler from Japan.
