Turmush — In the Bakai-Ata district of the Talas region, in the middle of the Kumushtak mountainous area, there is a “mazar” (mausoleum, grave of a Muslim saint as an object of worship) Boz-Tektir.

According to him, there are many legends among the people regarding this “mazar”.
“I’ll tell you about a legend that my paternal grandfather shared with me. So, according to him, several centuries ago wars took place in this place: those who adhered to Islam and followers of other religions fought. Many people fell then. The leader of the Muslims was a man named Boztektir. He did not bury his soldiers. Instead, they fenced off the place where the body of the deceased lay with stones and moved on. People simply did not have time to dig graves in the ground. At the end, when Boztektir was left alone, he hid from his enemies near a large stone. This stone in some mysterious way absorbed him into itself, so as not to give his body to his enemies. In general, the guardian of Boztektir was the golden eagle. If you look closely, the 3-meter stone resembles the silhouette of a golden eagle,” shared I. Zholchubekov.
He noted that in the area where the “mazar” is located there are a lot of stones.
The mausoleum is located 16-17 km from the village of Namatbek. People who come to him read a prayer.
