In the first match, Rahmani faced Cambodia’s Somanang Chantha in the round of 16, and after 57 seconds of the match, he defeated his opponent by doing the eppon and found his way to the round of 16.
He competed with Kazirbek of Mongolia in the next round, which lasted only 45 seconds, and the representative of Mongolia won by doing Eppon.
Kazerbek also received a vazari and a yoko prior to Eppon, while Rahmani received three shidos (warnings) and no points.
