The Deputy Governor of Paktia Maulvi Muhammad Anwar Din Parwar said while handing over the said equipment that efforts are being made to solve the existing problems in the health sector of the province and efforts are being made to provide other necessary equipment and facilities to the health centers.
He added that the donated items include various medical devices related to the treatment of new-born children and adults, which will be used to improve the quality of health services.
He asked the officials and doctors of the health centers and hospitals to respond to the requests of the patients on time and increase their efforts to improve the quality of services.
At the same time, Paktia Public Health Director Dr. Merajgul Adel told Bakhtar Agency that the received equipment will be distributed to Paktia Regional Hospital, hospitals of Zermatt, Aryub and Chamkino districts and health centers in some remote areas of the province.
According to him, with the efforts of the Ministry of Public Health, a CT scan machine has been provided and selected for Paktia Regional Hospital, which will be put to use in the near future.
He said that with the activation of this machine, diagnosis facilities will be provided to the patients of the south-eastern zone, along with Paktia, and the problems of their travel for treatment will be reduced to a minimum.
At the same time, Hafizullah Malang, the project manager of the HealthNet organization, said that this aid includes medical clothes and other necessary equipment for health workers and patients, which will be distributed to health centers.
According to him, this organization is planning to provide more medical devices worth about 200 thousand US dollars in the near future.
