A 34-year-old man was shot dead and two others, including his pregnant girlfriend, were critically injured during a pre-dawn attack at a home on Moonan Road, Wallerfield, on Tuesday.
The deceased, identified as Anthony Francis, also known as “Smalls,” was asleep in a bedroom when a gunman opened fire around 2 a.m., reportedly directing several shots through the window. Francis sustained fatal injuries at the scene.
His pregnant girlfriend and another male occupant were also struck by gunfire and were rushed to hospital for medical treatment, where they remain in critical condition.
Police have launched an investigation into the shooting, and no arrests have been reported so far.
