The Electoral Office of Dominica has announced an increase in the number of polling stations in District N09 of the Roseau North Constituency, moving from four to five stations for the September 7, 2026 by-election.
The decision follows a review of the existing arrangements and the number of electors assigned to the stations, with the additional facility
intended to make voting more efficient and reduce congestion during polling hours.
District N09 covers Gutter Village, Tarish Pit and sections of Goodwill.
All five polling stations will be located at the Goodwill Primary School and will be assigned according to voters’ surnames: A–C, D–G, H–L, M–R and S–Z. The Electoral Office is urging voters, particularly those registered in N09, to verify their assigned polling station before Election Day.
The Office has also reminded electors that they must vote at the polling station to which they have been officially assigned.
The Electoral Office claims that the adjustment is part of efforts to provide an orderly, accessible, and efficient electoral process and to ensure that voters can cast their ballots within the designated polling hours.
