Two-time world 200 metres champion Shericka Jackson has ended her 2026 season after suffering an apparent hamstring injury at the Lausanne Diamond League meet in Switzerland on August 21.
Jackson, 32, pulled up while competing in the 200 metres and fell to the track before being taken off the field in a wheelchair by medical staff.
The Jamaican confirmed the end of her season in a post on Instagram, saying it was not how she wanted to end her 2026 campaign but expressing hope for a return next season.
Jackson recorded season-best times of 10.81 seconds in the 100 metres and 21.87 seconds in the 200 metres this season.
