Nauru Airlines (RON, Nauru) and start-up One Pacific Airways are exploring commercial and operational cooperation following recent talks in Singapore, according to a Naoero Government Information Office release on August 14, 2026.
The discussions cover flight scheduling, passenger connections, ticketing and web systems, cargo, maintenance, operational support, and other commercial opportunities. No specific commercial commitments have been agreed, and any future arrangements remain subject to further negotiations and regulatory approvals.
“We see opportunities for the two airlines to work together in a practical and commercially focused way,” One Pacific Airways founder and president Chih Yuan Wang said. “Our discussions have been focused on identifying areas where we can complement each other and create better connectivity and commercial opportunities.”
Nauru Airlines chairman, Charleston Deiye, said: “We are looking at practical areas of cooperation that can provide commercial benefits to both airlines and, where appropriate, improve connectivity for our passengers and communities.”
One Pacific Airways’ website says its corporate office is located in Pohnpei, Micronesia, and its fleet comprises E145 and Cessna (single piston) 337 Super Skymaster aircraft. The start-up lists Pohnpei and Koror, alongside Yap, Chuuk, Kosrae, and Majuro, among the destinations in its Micronesian network.
The certification status of One Pacific Airways remains unclear, but ch-aviation has reached out to the carrier, as well as the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM) Division of Civil Aviation, for comment.
