The Antigua and Barbuda Union of Teachers (A&BUT) has expressed condolences following the death of Jasvindar Andrea Warner, a teacher at J.T. Ambrose Primary School.
In a statement issued on Friday, the union extended sympathy to Warner’s family, loved ones, fellow educators, staff members and students as they mourn her passing.
A&BUT described Warner as a dedicated and passionate educator whose life reflected a commitment to teaching and service. The union said she positively impacted countless students through her patience, kindness and unwavering dedication to their growth and development.
“Her presence in the classroom went beyond teaching—she inspired, encouraged, and nurtured young minds with a caring heart and a steadfast belief in their potential,” the union said in a tribute.
The statement also remembered Warner as a dependable colleague and valued member of the school community whose warmth, quiet strength and positive spirit left a lasting impression on those who knew and worked alongside her.
The union acknowledged that the loss of an educator is felt far beyond the classroom, affecting colleagues, students, families and the wider education community.
A&BUT said it joins the entire education fraternity in keeping Warner’s family, colleagues and students in its thoughts during this period of mourning and expressed hope that those grieving will find comfort in the memories they shared with her.
“May she rest peacefully,” the union said.
