PARAMARIBO — The Surinaamsche Bank (DSB) has achieved the internationally recognized ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification. The certification was awarded following a positive assessment by the independent certification body Det Norske Veritas (DNV) and confirms that the bank’s information security management system (ISMS) meets the highest international standards for information security.
With the certification, DSB receives independent confirmation that its processes and systems for information security are carefully designed, demonstrably managed and function effectively. According to the bank, the certification is in line with the existing working methods within the organization and contributes to the confidence of customers, business partners, correspondent banks, shareholders, regulators and other stakeholders.

According to the bank, the certification underlines that DSB handles confidential information in a secure, responsible and consistent manner and continues to improve its processes. The official presentation of the certificate took place on June 25 by DNV.
